(Medway Campus) is offering a 3 year PhD
scholarship (Covers home/EU full fees plus
maintenance currently £13,590pa). The post
holder would also be employed as a graduate
teaching assistant for up to 6 hours a week.
We are a relatively new department but rapidly
expanding and seeking to establish a research
culture in key fields. These include:
Humanitarian communication,
Foreign reporting
Reporting of War and Crises,
Journalism and commitment in the Spanish Civil War
British journalism during WWII
Censorship and self-censorship from WWI to Suez
Journalism during the phony war
Journalism and British representative democracy 1832-2000.
