The International Conference on Communication and Applied Technologies 
(ICOMTA, 2026), will be hosted by the Federal University of Paraíba(João 
Pessoa, Brazil), on the 8th to 10th September 2026.

Themes and scope
========
ICOMTA’26 – The VI International Conference on Communication and Applied 
Technologies 2026 is organized by the Federal University of Paraíba with 
collaborators including the University of Seville (Spain), the 
Universidade de Vigo (Spain), the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela 
– Political Research Team (Spain), the International Research Network on 
Communication Management (XESCOM), and WAPOR Latin America. Topics that 
are especially encouraged for ICOMTA 2026 are:

* Digital Communication and Processes
* Software, Big data, Data Mining and Intelligent Systems
* Communication, Health, Politics and Technologies. Automation, Bots and 
Algorithms
* Freedom of Expression, Ethics, and Transparency in the Digital Society
* Digital Social Networks
* Freedom of Expression, Ethics and Transparency in the Digital Society
* Persuasion and Emotion: Analysis of Language, Content, and Artificial 
Intelligence
* Innovation, University Teaching and Technology
Accepted papers will be published, in English, in a Smart Innovation, 
Systems and Technologies book (Scopus, Q4). Or they will be published in 
an Atlantis Press book (part of Springer Nature), of the Atlantis 
Highlights in Social Sciences, Education and Humanities series, indexed 
in CPCI (part of Clarivate’s Web of Science). In Spanish, the accepted 
papers will be published in Tirant lo Blanch. None of these publications 
will require APC to be paid. All the accepted proposals in the 
conference will have to cover a registration fee, depending on the type 
of participation, as it is explained on the following link:
