Online and in-person contributions are welcome.
The Swinburne Documentary Research Group is planning its second
symposium, which will feature a /Journal Media Practice and Education/
paper development workshop, showcase of NTROs (non-traditional research
outputs and work-in-progress), round-table discussions, keynotes by
Helen De Michiel /From Product to Process: Open Space Documentary Across
Cultures/ (online), Denby Weller /Defining ‘adrenalised discourse’ about
COVID-19 through innovative documentary practice /(in-person) and a
Sarawak keynote speaker (details to be announced soon).
This international research event will take place at Swinburne
University of Technology Sarawak in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia on the
10th and 11th June and will bring People and Technology together using
storytelling as the interface.
With PhD researchers and practitioners, we will discuss new developments
and directions in storytelling, community engagement and
immersive/emerging media.
