FSR C&M, CMPF and ENTRANCE Annual Scientific Seminar - The Economics, Law and Policy of Communications and Media, 7TH EDITION:

COMPETITION, REGULATION AND FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION IN DIGITAL MARKETS

Florence, Italy, 24-25 March 2017


The Florence School of Regulation, Communications & Media Area (FSR C&M), the Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom (CMPF) and the European Networking and Training for National Competition Enforcers (ENTraNCE) Annual Scientific Seminar brings together scholars in the fields of economics, law and political science, as well as practitioners, to consider frontier research in electronic communications, Internet and media with a goal of fostering research ideas and informing policy. The seminar will include 15-18 research papers presented over a two-day period.

Keynote Speaker: Michal Gal (University of Haifa)

We are interested in papers tackling economic, legal and regulatory issues in media, telecommunications and digital markets, broadly defined.
Examples include:

Market Plurality and Freedom of Expression (including Digital Intermediaries and Media Pluralism)
The Economics of Platforms

SUBMISSIONS:
Papers should be sent to (FSR.ComsMedia /at/ eui.eu) by January 30, 2017.
The program will be announced by February 13, 2017.
Selected papers might be published in the RSCAS Working Papers Series after the Scientific Seminar.

FEES:
No conference fee is charged. However, travels and accommodation costs should be borne by participants.
