/An unusual conference which brings together specialists from a wide
range of disciplines and members of the public to explore how academic
research and professional experience can cast new light on the
storylines, character and contexts of BBC Radio 4's 'The Archers' may be
of interest to Connected Communities list members./

/The aim of the 'Academic Analyses of Life in Rural Borsetshire'
conference is to combine academic knowledge and ideas with delegates'
passion for this iconic radio series in order to stimulate debate about
the iconic series and what it reveals about contemporary society. 26
presentations will be from a wide range of disciplines including
education, gender studies, theology, sociology, media, geography,
forensic science and many more./

/The conference runs from Friday 17th Feb 2017 (12pm start) - Saturday
18th (5.30pm finish) at the University of Lincoln and costs £50, with
the optional extra of a visit to the village which inspired the original
creation of the series. /
