Dal Puri Diaspora: Film Screening and Director's Talk with Richard Fung,

remarkable journey of the recipe for dal puri across space and time,
linking colonialism, migration and the globalization of tastes. More

Keynote and Reception: Dr. Mimi Thi Nguyen (Women and Gender & Asian
American Studies, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign) will be
giving our keynote talk followed by a reception. Damage Control, and the
Art of Governing Through Freedom elaborates upon liberalism as a
practice and principle for the rationalization of government, which
claims at its heart freedom as the reference of its politics. 5pm,
