[Commlist] Symposium Announcement: The Art and Science of Creative AI

The Art and Science of Creative AI

*13–14 November 2026 | UCL East, London*

Join us for *The Art and Science of Creative AI*, a two-day
international interdisciplinary symposium at University College London,
bringing together artists, filmmakers, designers, scientists,
technologists and critical thinkers to explore the evolving relationship
between AI, creativity and society.

Across presentations, panel discussions, practical demonstrations and
industry workshops, we will explore questions of artistic agency,
aesthetics, embodiment, authorship, ethics and governance, alongside
emerging creative practices in film, art, architecture, sound and design.

Rather than approaching AI solely as a technological breakthrough or a
creative threat, the symposium creates a space for critical dialogue,
experimentation and exchange across disciplines.

The event also marks the launch of the *UCL Network for Creative AI*, an
interdisciplinary initiative connecting research, artistic practice and
industry collaboration. Convenors: Prof. Brigitta Zics
