The International Communication Studies Congress is held each year in partnership with a different host university. This third edition is organised by İletisim Studies and Istanbul Gelişim University.

Communication is going through one of the fastest transformations in its history. Artificial intelligence now shapes how content is produced, circulated and interpreted at every stage, and algorithmic systems increasingly decide what becomes visible. The climate crisis, geopolitical conflict, democratic backsliding and deepening inequalities are also reopening questions about the place of communication in social life. These changes reach across the whole field, from news and advertising to corporate communication, cinema, science communication and popular culture. They also push the field to rethink its own concepts and methods.

The congress organises this debate around two questions: Where does communication stand today, and where is it heading? We welcome empirical, theoretical and methodological papers from all subfields of communication. Contributions from neighbouring disciplines that engage with communication and media are also welcome.

Topics include, but are not limited to:
- Artificial intelligence and communication
- Algorithmic media and platforms
- Journalism
- Cinema, television and visual culture
- Political communication
- Public relations and corporate communication
- Advertising and brand communication
