CINEMEDIA Text & Audiovisual Journal is now accepting submissions for its fifth issue, including

classic text-based articles and audiovisual essays in the fields of cinema and media! CINEMEDIA is

an international, peer-reviewed, and open-access academic journal that publishes original scholarly

research in the fields of cinema, media, communication, visual culture, digital humanities, and

related disciplines.

As Turkey’s first text-based and audiovisual journal, CINEMEDIA adopts a dual-mode scholarly

publishing model. This model brings together traditional text-based academic publishing and peer-

reviewed audiovisual scholarly works within a unified editorial framework. With its hybrid structure,

the Journal publishes both classic text-based scientific articles and peer-reviewed audiovisual

academic research in the format of video articles / video essays.

Both publication formats are evaluated under the same rigorous editorial standards regarding

originality, scientific methodology, ethical principles, transparency, and academic quality.

In the publication process, CINEMEDIA Text & Audiovisual Journal takes

into account the issues specified in the Interuniversity Council

Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive from authors,

referees and editors. All responsibility for the articles published in

the journal belongs to the author.

Note: The decision to publish the studies belongs to the editors.

Studies accepted as a result of referee evaluations are not obliged to

be published. The editors have the right to leave the accepted studies

to the next issue in order to ensure harmony between the journal issues.

Before the submission, you can visit “Submission Conditions, Writing

Rules, and Technical Criteria for Audiovisual Works” and“For Authors”

sections on our website.
