[Commlist] ublication of Issue 31 of Alphaville on "Pandemic Documentary"

We are delighted to announce publication of issue 31 of Alphaville: 
Journal of Film and Screen Media on “Pandemic Documentary”.

Edited by Oliver Brett and Rhiannon Harries, the issue explores pandemic 
documentaries through the idea of “cramped space” (Deleuze and 
Guattari), asking what forms documentary might take when movement is 
restricted and resources are limited, including reduced access to 
subjects. Through a range of articles, reflections, and video essays, 
the issue engages with the question how documentary can at once preserve 
lived experience, mobilise political response, and reconfigure its own 
conception and production under crisis conditions.

Alphaville is a diamond open-access journal and charges no fees to its 
authors or readers.
