Dr Carloalberto Treccani

Professor) is seeking applicants with research interests in *visual 
cultural studies*—broadly defined to include machine vision, 
photography, generative AI, technologies of vision, contemporary arts, 
and contemporary visual practices—for a fully funded PhD position 
beginning in the 2027–2028 academic year. The successful candidate will 
be supported by the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS

*• About the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS):*

  * A competitive annual stipend for 3 years, +1 year provided by the
    University, for a total of 4 years**(US$44,150 per year).

Interested candidates *must apply via the HKPFS online application 
system* and obtain an HKPFS reference number before submitting an 
application to Hong Kong Baptist University.
