We are pleased to announce the publication of Issue 46 (2026) of /Cinéma

Aesthetics and Infrastructures/, edited by Domenico Napolitano, Annalisa
Pellino, and Pooja Rangan, is now freely accessible at

<https://riviste.unimi.it/index.php/cinemaetcie/issue/view/2873>
This special issue rethinks media access not as a merely technical
requirement, but as an aesthetic and political practice, shifting
attention from disability representation to the ways media shape bodies,
temporalities and relations. Drawing on disability studies and crip
aesthetics, it questions techno-solutionist models and forms of
accessibility that may reproduce control, exclusion, or surveillance.
Its contributions explore film, documentary, animation, smart domestic
media, and artistic practice through the material and cultural
conditions of participation. Particular attention is paid to
infrastructures of care, media literacy, and collective practices that
enable more inclusive media experiences.
