Associate Professor in Film and Communication Studies (Italian research 
field: PEMM-01/B Cinema, photography, radio, television and digital media).

The Department of Media and Communication Studies of Università 
Cattolica, Faculty of Humanities, Milan, is seeking a FTE associate 
professor in Film and Communication Studies.

The Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore is among the most important 
private universities in Europe. It was founded in 1921 and since 1962is 
a national and international beacon for– studying, researching, and 
training in the field of media studies and film studies. Related to 
media studies, Università Cattolica has a posgraduate school, three 
research centres, seven BA/MA programmes, and more than fifteen 
postgraduate programmes across the fields of media and communication. It 
also carries out research activities at national and international 
levels, market analysis, consultancy and development, and training in 
the field of cinema and audiovisuals.

We are seeking an experienced associate professor, with a background in 
running BA/MA programmes.
Candidates should have a focus on one or more of the following areas:
- Communication Studies.
- Corporate Communication.
- Contemporary media challenges
Data-driven research experience in the field of cinema and media, 
covering production, distribution, consumption, and audiences, is 
considered a preferred skill.
A B2-level proficiency in Italian is required when applying, along with 
English and/or French. Within 2 years, the candidate is expected to 
achieve a C1 level of proficiency in Italian.
Selected candidate is required to teach up to 120 p/y at BA and MA 
level. Reduction is provided for the staff heading a BA or MA programme, 
or other specific programmes

Employment treatment:
Salary is based on national parameters (see Presidential Decree 
232/2011), and updated according to the inflation rates

Position: FTE associate professor
Any postgraduate courses taught and any other responsabilities as 
director of master’s and postgraduate programmes are discussed and 
remunerated separately.
