[Commlist] Call for Papers - 5th IN THE PALACE ISFF Conference: Short Films, Big Questions: Festivals, Politics, and Public Engagement

We are pleased to invite submissions for the 5th IN THE PALACE ISFF 
Conference, taking place on 25–26 June 2026 in Pernik, Bulgaria, during 
the IN THE PALACE International Short Film Festival.

The conference, titled:

*Short Films, Big Questions: Festivals, Politics, and Public Engagement*

explores the role of short films and film festivals in addressing 
contemporary social, political, and cultural issues, as well as their 
impact on audiences and public discourse.

We welcome proposals for academic papers and artistic research 
contributions.

Selected participants will receive accommodation (2 nights), a financial 
contribution towards travel expenses (150 euros), food vouchers, and
