The second issue of the Communication & Sport journal in 2026 (vol. 14,
iss. 2, April 2026) is accessible at

This issue is devoted to interrogations and extrapolations of gender
from a variety of perspectives. In his editorial, Editor-in-Chief Andrew
Billings notes that many claims about the lack of interest in watching
or participating in women's sport often prove unfounded. Yet, progress
regarding women in sport (and) media has proven difficult to document
because countries differ in their positions and circumstances on the
topic. This is surely a good reason to read this latest issue, which
features contributions from authors based both in the Global North and
Global South.
