[Commlist] Call for Contributions – Animex Special Forum on AI and the Creative Industries

This is a friendly reminder that submissions are now open for the 
*Animex Special Forum: The Impact of AI on the Animation, Games and VFX 
Industry*, taking place as part of the Animex Research and Innovation 
Conference on *18 November 2026*.

As AI continues to reshape creative practice, production pipelines, 
education and employment across the sector, this forum aims to bring 
together researchers, practitioners and students to explore both the 
opportunities and challenges that these technologies present.

We welcome a range of contribution formats, including:

  * Micro talks
  * Short presentations
  * Provocations
  * Case studies
  *
    Facilitated discussions

Potential topics include AI and creative labour, authorship, ethics, 
ownership, pedagogy, workflow integration, and the future role of 
artists in AI-assisted production.

*Submission requirements:*

  * 250-300 word abstract or outline
  * 100-word biography

*Deadline:* 31 August 2026
