The Small Island Cultures Research Initiative (*SICRI 
<https://www.sicri.net/>*) <https://www.sicri.net/> is inviting papers 
with a theme on island media and communication ecosystems for its 
*_Island Studies International Conference_* (ISIC) in Tacloban City, 
Leyte Islands, Philippines, 25-28 June.

*CONFERENCE THEME:* "Navigating Island Futures: Intersections of 
Heritage, Transitions, and Regenerative Practices”

*Hosting Institution:* The Leyte-Samar Heritage Center (LSHC), The 
University of the Philippines Tacloban College (UPTC)

Selected /Media and Island Communication Ecosystems/ presentations will 
constitute a standalone panel and/or engage with designated 
cross-cutting sub-themes, examining how media and communication 
ecosystems—formal and informal, online and offline, community-based and 
traditional—articulate, support, represent, and advance solutions to 
challenges facing island communities.
