[Commlist] CfP: ICA 2026 Science Communication Preconference

It is with great pleasure that Alice Fleerackers shares the call for 
proposals for the upcoming ICA Preconference, /The “Dark Side” of social 
conversations around science: Contemporary challenges and potential 
solutions for science communication/.

The conference will take place on Tuesday, 2 June 2026 at the Centre for 
Epidemic Response and Innovation (CERI) at Stellenbosch 
University, South Africa. It is open to researchers and practitioners of 
all topics related to science communication.

Submissions should include: An extended abstract of 800 –1,000 words and 
are due by 2 February 2026.
