New report: What challenges does the news industry face and how can 
researchers respond?

The News, Technology, and Society Network (newstechnologyandsociety.com) 
has published a new report, Resourcing, technology & audiences: An 
industry-led agenda for journalism practice and research.

The report identifies the challenges the news industry faces and 
identifies ways that researchers can respond.

It does this through feedback provided by representatives from four 
segments (small/independent/community media, large commercial media, 
public media, and journalism associations) and maps which challenges are 
shared across the sector and which are unique to each segment.
