The call for the 8th edition of the Scientific Employment Stimulus
programme, funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and
Technology (FCT), has been published:

The Centre for Comparative Studies at the School of Arts and Humanities
at the University of Lisbon (CEComp:

interest from prospective postdoctoral researchers.
If you are a PhD holder seeking to develop a postdoctoral project in the
field of Comparative Studies, and/or the intricacies inherent in the
interplay between art, culture, society, and history, including a focus
on film and screen media, we encourage you to submit a proposal. Please
check the FCT page to see if you meet the eligibility criteria for a
fully funded 3-year contract. This is a great opportunity to work in a
vibrant European city and focus on research while developing your skills
and competences.
Candidates whose projects align with the Centre’s research areas and
scientific goals are invited to send us an email to

a short CV (2 pages max.);

the intended level/category of doctoral research;

a summary of the project (2 pages max.).
The FCT call is open from 15 December 2025 to 29 January 2026. CEComp
accepts statements of interest until 7 January 2026. Candidates will
receive notification of acceptance or non-acceptance by 14 January 2026.
