[Commlist] RIPODOS58: Mediating ‘ForeignConflicts’: The Role of News Media and Social Media in Shaping Perceptions of Extranational Conflicts published
Tue Nov 25 20:42:54 GMT 2025
We are pleased to announce that the full TRIPODOS 58 issue is now
complete and available to read via this link
<https://tripodos.com/index.php/Facultat_Comunicacio_Blanquerna/issue/view/65>.
For this issue, our guest editors - Stephen Goulding from the University
of Nottingham Ningbo China, Zixiu Liu from the Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool
University, and Amy McCroy from the University of Ulster - wrote the
introduction and helped us with the editing process. TRIPODOS's 58th
monograph, «Mediating "Foreign Conflicts": The Role of News Media and
Social Media in Shaping Perceptions of Extranational Conflicts» offers a
multi-perspective view of how news and social media in specific nations
represent, frame, and construct conflicts that occur in other national
or regional contexts outside their borders.
The issue concludes with three additional articles in the 'Fundamentals'
section: one on television series and childbirth, one on political
cynicism, and one on sign language on YouTube.
