Cristina Moreno Almeida is excited to share that they are recruiting a 
Postdoctoral Research Associate on the *Digital Al-Andalus: Radical 
Perspectives <https://gtr.ukri.org/projects?ref=EP/X042251/1>/Of 
<https://gtr.ukri.org/projects?ref=EP/X042251/1>/ and 
<https://gtr.ukri.org/projects?ref=EP/X042251/1>/Through 
<https://gtr.ukri.org/projects?ref=EP/X042251/1>/ Al-Andalus 
<https://gtr.ukri.org/projects?ref=EP/X042251/1>* project — an 
ERC-selected, UKRI-funded research project running until 2029.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in digital culture, 
alternative historical narratives, and interdisciplinary humanities 
research. You’d be working closely with Cristina Moreno Almeida and 
their team as they explore how digital spaces shape contemporary 
understandings of Al-Andalus.

The post is full-time, fixed-term appointment for *24 months*, with an 
expected start on *1st January 2026 to 31 December 2027* and available 
due to research funding.

*Salary:* £42,091 per year (including London Allowance)
*Location:* Mile End campus, Queen Mary University of London
*Required:* PhD in Cultural Studies, Media & Communication, Digital 
Cultures or a related field like History and Digital History
