Routledge New Directions in PR and Communications Research: Call for
chapters
We invite submissions for an edited collection exploring and celebrating
innovative, creative, and alternative methods for investigating (i) the
lived experience of those working in public relations (PR) and (ii) the
lived experience and insights of stakeholders that engage with our
organisations. The book aims to share unique approaches to inquiry which
highlights diverse lived experiences across cultures, countries, and
contexts.
In a world that is increasingly complex and multifaceted, traditional
qualitative and quantitative methods may not always suffice to capture
the richness of human stories. This book aims to extend qualitative and
quantitative methodologies into a broader understanding involving
participatory, arts-based, embodied, digital, or otherwise
non-conventional approaches. We welcome contributions from scholars,
educators, practitioners, and activists who are using creative
methodologies to illuminate the nuances of lived experience in their work.
There is no requirement for authors to pay e.g., APCs or Article
Processing Charges.
Important Dates:
Send outline ideas to:
mailto:(illuminatinglivedexperience /at/ gmail.com) by Friday 9 January. Full
chapter submission: 31st March 2026
