[Commlist] Frames Cinema Journal Issue 22 - (Re)Locations: Transformations of Place in Film published
Fri Oct 03 09:33:17 GMT 2025
We are delighted to announce that the latest issue of /Frames Cinema
Journal/, *(Re)Locations: Transformations of Place in Film*, has been
published. You can access and read the issue here:
https://framescinemajournal.com/
The issue focuses on the dynamic interplay between film and its
representations of space, place, and location, asking how cinema
transforms our engagements with these concepts. Traversing a broad range
of critical contexts, questions, and perspectives, our contributions
cover topics from the spatial logics of exclusivity in the tourist
romance to archival footage of urban Berlin in 1940s German cinema; from
the spatial structures and motifs in Abbas Kiarostami's work to Google
Map explorations of the locations in /Blow-Up/.
