TECHNOLOGIES & MEDIAS in TEACHING & RESEARCH
A Strand call for the Focus on Pedagogy 2026 Conference, ‘Contemporary
Teaching in a Time of Change’
MADRID, Spain
Part of the AMPS Teaching and Research Initiative.
https://amps-research.com/teaching-research/
Aimed at bridging the divide in academia between research and teaching,
the ‘Teaching and Research’ initiative recognizes the research and
knowledge embedded in teaching.
It sees the classroom, studio or lab as places where research is brought
to the fore, where the questions that will inform researchers tomorrow
are formulated today. It sees them as places of knowledge exchange that
are central to critical enquiry.
To this end, the conferences and publications it supports function as
platforms for educators to discuss:
-TEACHING AS A VEHICLE TO DEVELOP RESEARCH AGENDAS
-TEACHING AS THE SUBJECT OF RESEARCH ITSELF
With this in mind, the 2026 conference held in Madrid, Spain, invites
contributions that fall into either of these two broad categories.
The themes of interest in this strand include:
Digital Literacy, Virtual Reality, AI, Distance Learning, Social Media,
Teaching Technologies and more.
