a 2-day seminar taught by Resul Umit on August 26-27.

Bluesky, a rapidly growing social media platform, is becoming a rich 
resource for studying online discourse, information flow, and digital 
communities. Unlike many platforms, Bluesky provides open access to its 
data, making it especially attractive for researchers. However, working 
with this data requires tools and techniques that go beyond traditional 
methods.

In this seminar, you’ll get hands-on training in R to collect and 
analyze Bluesky data, with a focus on text-based content. You'll learn 
to navigate the uniqueness of social media data and explore analytical 
strategies such as network analysis and textual analysis—essential for 
communication and media research today.

This livestream seminar will be held via Zoom, but you can also join 
asynchronously by viewing the recorded videos of each session.
