[Commlist] cfp: influence of technology on the translation industry

Mon Jun 02 21:38:36 GMT 2025

This is a reminder about the edited volume about the influence of technology on the translation industry published by Springer./
/
We invite professional translators, educators, and researchers to contribute their vision on how technology changes translation industry, translation teaching, and society at large (through translation practices).

The submission must concern how CAT tools, machine translation, and / or LLMs, such as ChatGPT, have influenced the written translation, having implications for the translation professionals and / or society. The focus on LLMs for translation purposes will be an advantage.

We seek one contributing chapter to complement an otherwise ready book dedicated to the given topic to meet the volume requirements of the publisher. The book will be published by Springer. Contract to be signed this week.

Please, send a proposal of 100-250 words ASAP. The proposals will be discussed within three days after the submission. Use (ruslan.saduov /at/ gmail.com) <mailto:(ruslan.saduov /at/ gmail.com)> to send your submission.

The submission and publication are free./
