As part of the Creative Europe funded project “The Film Corner for all” _https://www.thefilmcorner.eu/ <https://www.thefilmcorner.eu/>_ we are inviting participants for a conference examining the practical possibilities for online film pedagogy and its use in on-site locations. We welcome teachers, students, practitioners, academics and interested members of the general public to the panels and workshops to be featured. Topics to be addressed in the conference will include:
- What is the current state of film education across Europe?
- Introduction to the Film Corner Film Education platform, including the online teaching resources provided
- Online teaching resources for film education and their usefulness
- Are schools and teachers prepared for online teaching resources?
- How do online digital teaching resources fit into the context of classroom teaching in the future?

The Introduction of Film to the Irish secondary school senior cycle.* In September 2025 a new Leaving Certificate subject - Drama, Film, and Theatre Studies – will be introduced in Irish secondary schools. This session will consider the evolution of film education in Ireland, the role of the Irish Film Institute, and some aspects of the new subject to be introduced. *The Film Corner’s Propaganda App*
This session offers a critical exploration of what propaganda is and was, through a discussion and analysis of selected clips featured on /The Film Corner/ platform — including footage such as Mussolini’s reportage from Africa and a Croatian newsreel portraying children in concentration camps. The workshop continues with a hands-on activity using mobile phones, encouraging participants to engage directly with the material.
