[Commlist] CFP Animex Research and Innovation Conference

The Animex Research and innovation Conference Submission Portal is now open!

We're seeking submissions for proposals for 20-minute conference presentations and specialist panels from across the fields of animation, VFX, games and related disciplines. All topics will be considered but we encourage the following:

 1. Animation studies

 2. Creature FX

 3. Dynamic simulation

 4. Extended reality, virtual reality, and augmented reality

 5. Game studies

 6. Gesture recognition and motion analysis

 7. Information visualisation

 8. Machine learning and AI for animation and games

 9. Motion capture and retargeting

10. Multimodal interaction: haptics, sound

11. Participatory and Immersive approaches

12. Practice-based research

13. Procedural animation

14. Real-time animation/simulation

15. Serious games, MedTech, industrial applications and/or Digital Twins

16. User experience and interface

17. Virtual humans and autonomous actors

18. Virtual production

We are accepting proposals for individual 20-minute conference presentations and specialist panels.

Individual: 20-minute conference presentations: a 300-word abstract and 100-word biographical statement.

Specialist panels: a 300-word panel summary, 300-word abstract (for each paper), and a 100-word biographical statement for each panel member.

Panels maximum is three 20-minute conference papers, and ls will run for 80 minutes, including questions. The panel chair must provide the submission requirements on behalf of all panel members.
