[Commlist] Call for Applications: Bonnier Guest Professorship (1-2 weeks) at Stockholm University, Sweden

The Section of Journalism, Media & Communication in the Department of 
Media Studies at Stockholm University in Sweden invites qualified 
scholars to apply for the Bonnier Guest Professorship.

*Bonnier Guest Professorship: Call for Applications*


Funded through the Albert Bonnier fund, the Bonnier Guest Professorship 
allows scholars to come for 1-2 week visits to the Division of 
Journalism, Media & Communication in the Department of Media Studies at 
Stockholm University where they will engage /(in English)/ in teaching, 
guest lectures, meetings with doctoral students and discussions 
regarding possible teaching and research collaboration. The grant covers 
travel to and from Stockholm, accommodation and an honorarium.

In order to apply, applicants must satisfy the following qualifications:

* have a Ph.D.;

* hold the position of Professor or Associate Professor (or equivalent) 
at an accredited university;

* be engaged in research and teaching with a connection to the study 
and/or practice of journalism;

* give at least one student lecture and at least one open lecture;

* have specific dates in mind for the visit.

Applicants must submit (1) a cover letter, and (2) a full CV.

The cover letter must contain the following information:

* Full name
* Nationality
* Academic rank
* Current university
* Proposed dates for 1-2 week stay (with an expected 5 working weekdays 
on campus per week). Note that applications can be made for visits up to 
THREE YEARS in the future. /Applications covering the periods December 
15 - January 15 and ALL of June-July-August will not be considered/.
* Area of teaching/research specialty and link to the study of journalism.
* Title for one proposed student lecture (graduate or undergraduate) and 
one public lecture.
* Short rationale
* Signature and date
