City St George’s, University of London seeks to appoint a LECTURER IN
PUBLISHING (fixed-term, 0.5FTE).
The *Department of Media, Culture and Creative Industries* draws
together academic staff specialising in Advertising, Creative Writing,
Culture and Creative Industries, English, Marketing Communication, Media
Management, Media and Communications, Media Production, Public
Relations, Publishing and Strategic Communication.The department is
committed to maintaining the high quality of our teaching. For more

The successful applicant will have a good first degree in Publishing (or
a closely related field such as Media, Communication, English and so on)
and ideally have industry-derived expertise related to Publishing.
Candidates should be able to teach modules in Publishing in a way that
is industry-focused and socially relevant. Specifically, the successful
candidate will be able to teach most or all of the following modules:
Understanding Publishing (UG, Y2)
Publishing as a Business (UG, Y2)
The Role of Editorial & Production: Managing Authors, Lists &
Intellectual Property (PG)
The Power of Publishing (PG)
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher able to engage
and enthuse a diverse student body that includes international students.
We are also looking for a new colleague who is a team player and willing
to collaborate.
