We’re looking for a festivals editor!

The sensible folk at /Senses of Cinema/ are recruiting a new editor to
join our four-person editorial team. Responsibilities include
commissioning, writer liaison, and editing for the Features and
Festivals sections, as well as input into and editing duties for other
sections of the journal as required. Quarterly participation in online
editorial board meetings is also mandatory. This position would suit
someone who is passionate and knowledgeable about film culture,
criticism and history. *All work can be done remotely from wherever in
the world. Familiarity with the current state of film festivals will be
advantageous.**

Relevant experience could include, but is not limited to: editing,
festival work, academia, publishing, and curating. The ideal candidate
would possess an eye for quality texts and writers (especially festival
reports), excellent organisational skills, attention to detail,
abilities in planning and coordinating contributions, as well as
reliability, efficiency, and teamwork capabilities.
The role requires around 8 hours a week, with the time commitment
fluctuating according to publication cycles. We’re an independent,
non-institutionally aligned film journal. Each editor is paid an
honorarium when a new issue is published.
