City, University of London is continuing a strategic expansion of its
Media and Communications offerings and seeks to appoint a Lecturer in
MEDIA PRODUCTION AND DIGITAL CONTENT CREATION.
The *Department of Media, Culture and Creative Industries* draws
together academic staff specialising in Advertising, Creative Writing,
Culture and Creative Industries, English, Marketing Communication, Media
Management, Media and Communications, Media Production, Public
Relations, Publishing and Strategic Communication.The department is
committed to maintaining the high quality of our teaching. For more

Candidates should be able to teach modules across Media Production in a
way that is industry-focussed. In particular, you should have the
ability to teach most if not all of the following modules:
* Digital Content Creation (UG, Y1)
* Intermediate Editing (UG, Y2)
* Writing for Media and Communication (UG, Y2)
* Promotional Content Creation (UG, Y3)
* Audiovisual Media Production (MA)
* Digital Content Creation (for PR and Marketing) (MA)
The successful candidate will have a good first degree and expertise
related to Media Production and Digital Content Creation.
You should have deep expertise in video production and the ability to
teach postproduction software. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro will be
tested at interview.
You will be a team player and have a professional background in the
media industries and the ability to share insights from that background
in a way that is supportive of students’ employability.
You will be able to relate to a generation of students more likely
seeking to create content for TikTok or YouTube than submitting films
for festivals.

The successful applicant will have a good first degree (and, if applying
for the education and research profile, a PhD), ideally in
Communication, Media, Marketing, Business or a related field, and
industry-derived expertise related to Marketing Communication, in
particular digital marketing communication.
We are looking for a team player and an enthusiastic and committed
teacher able to engage and enthuse a diverse student body that includes
international students as well as students from widening participation
backgrounds.
