We are excited to announce that we have extended the deadline for abstract submissions for the ICA 2024 Post-Conference Journalism Studies PhD Colloquium, which will take place on *June 25, 2024*, at *Griffith University Campus Gold Coast*, Australia. The* Journalism Studies PhD Colloquium* is a significant event that brings together graduate students and experienced scholars in the field. This year, in conjunction with the ICA 2024 Annual Conference, we celebrate the 10th anniversary of this valuable gathering. The colloquium aims to foster academic mentorship and provide a constructive platform for early-career scholars to present and discuss their research in an international atmosphere.

We invite graduate and PhD students working in journalism studies to submit abstracts of *500 words (excluding references)* outlining their research topic, rationale, theoretical approach, and, if applicable, empirical application. Submissions should be sent via email to me at *(mathias.felipe /at/ unifesp.br) <mailto:(mathias.felipe /at/ unifesp.br)>*, following the format specified below:

*Format*: Submit an abstract in *PDF* format labelled “*Last_Name_JSColloquium2024*”. *Email subject: Journalism PhD Colloquium Gold Coast*.

The *new deadline* for abstract submission is *February 15th, 2024, at 11:59 pm AoE *(Anywhere on Earth) 🌎. Notifications of acceptance will be sent out at the beginning of *March 2024.*

Note that this year's colloquium will be an *in-person event* held in Queensland, Australia. As such, participants are expected to present their work onsite.
