The department takes very seriously its responsibility to help make the world a better place through our research, and to help transform the lives of our students. Hence, it focuses upon research and teaching activity that is publicly engaged and makes a positive impact on society.

The post will be based in Lancaster, and the successful candidate will be expected to be able to commute to the Bailrigg campus.
