[Commlist] CFP: International Conference Working in/for platforms

*Working in/for platforms International Conference*

Researchers are invited to submit proposals for communications for the 
*Working in/for Platforms International Conference*, which brings 
together a vibrant and global community of media, communication, 
education, and platform researchers. The main objective of the 
conference is to share research outcomes and practices around the 
following topics:

- Platform capitalism

- Labour / Workforce

- Gig economy

- New Taylorism

- Informal learning

- Skills acquisition

- Reputation

- Data / Algorithms

- Platformization

- Last mile workers

- On-demand services

- Precarity

- Platform activism

The Working in/for Platforms International Conference will only accept 
research papers.

Participants must send research papers (extension: 6,000 -8,000 words 
including references) before September 15, 2023. Only one article per 
person will be received.

Authors must register and upload the paper online in the “My Documents” 
tab along with the information requested in the form.

*Dissemination of results*

The Working in/for Platforms International Conference will not publish 
proceedings (only abstracts). Authors will be free to publish the papers 
at their will after the Conference.

*Fees*

The conference is free (no registration fees) and promoted by the 
PLATCOM research project (Ref. PID2019-109846RB-I00)

*Important dates*

·April 18, 2023: Call for Papers publication

·September 15, 2023: deadline for full paper proposals

·November 1, 2023: notifications of acceptance
