[Commlist] IPCA ID+ PhD Scholarships – RUN – European University

The Polytechnic of Cávado and Ave (IPCA) opens a call for 3 (three) 
research scholarships (scholarship typology: mixed), in the area of Design.
The grant will be funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and 
Technology (FCT) under the Collaboration Protocol between the Foundation 
for Science and Technology, the Polytechnic of Leiria (IPL) and the 
Polytechnic of Cávado and Ave (IPCA), to fund PhD research grants under 
the Regional University Network – European University (RUN-EU),

The work plan offers a unique opportunity to further enhance a 
methodological approach that adds to the traditional scope of Design. An 
in-depth contextual analysis will serve the goal of providing access to 
the richness of the archives, their digital preservation and the 
expected interpretation. From a social perspective, the fieldwork will 
also involve communities of citizens, and this hybridization of methods 
- both theoretical and applied research - will provide the project with 
a few opportunities for discovery and paradigm shifts.
