The postconference provides a global tent for the emergent field of media sociology that is growing in the ICA community. Welcoming submissions from any geographic location, theoretical perspective, and/or methods, the event brings together global scholars to build this scholarly community at ICA. Contributing to ICA’s theme “Reclaiming Authenticity,” we particularly encourage work on authenticity in media, public discourse, and popular culture vis-a-vis relational, social, political, and cultural implications in different international contexts. We welcome submissions from any geographic location, theoretical perspective, and/or methods speaking to any facet of media sociology to continue building this scholarly community at ICA.
