The International Conference on Communication and Applied Technologies 
(ICOMTA, 2023), will be hosted by the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de 
Puebla (Mexico), on the 6th to 8th September 2023.

Themes and scope
========
ICOMTA 2023 is organized by the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de 
Puebla (Mexico), with the support of the Universidade de Vigo (Galicia, 
Spain), Universidade de Santiago de Compostela-Equipo de Investigaciones 
Políticas (Galicia, España), the International Media Management Academic 
Association (IMMAA) and International Research Network of Communication 
Management (XESCOM). Topics that are especially encouraged for ICOMTA 
2023 are:

  * Digital communication and processes
  * Software, big data, data mining and intelligent systems
  * Communication, Health, Politics and Technologies. The other
    pandemic: misinformation in times of coronavirus. Automation, bots
    and algorithms
  * Fact-checking experiences in Europe and Latin America at the service
    of journalism: comparative perspective
  * Persuasion and emotion: analysis of language, content and artificial
    intelligence.
  * Freedom of expression, ethics and transparency in the digital society
  * Digital social networks
  * Innovation, university teaching and technology

Accepted papers will be published, in English, will be published in a 
Smart Innovation, Systems and Technologies book (Scopus, Q3), and will 
be submitted for their indexing to ISI, EI-Compendex, SCOPUS and Google 
Scholar, among others. In Spanish, the accepted papers will be published 
in Tirant Lo Blanch. None of these publications will require APC to be 
paid. All the accepted proposals in the conference will have to cover a 
registration fee, depending on the type of participation, as it is
