The Organizing Committee of the XVIII AsHisCom Congress would like to 
disseminate the following call for papers, among students, researchers 
and professors of IAMCR's network.

Call for Papers until February 28th

XVIII AsHisCom Congress| Communication, History and Memory | 14 and 15 
September | Lisbon

The Association of Communication Historians invites you to participate 
in the XVIII AsHiscom Congress, which will take place on 14 and 15 
September, in Lisbon, organised by the Institute of Communication at the 
New University of Lisbon.

The starting question is how to build and communicate memory from the 
history of communication? The call for papers on Communication, History 
and Memory is open to explore the following lines:

  * Media as creators, reproducers and mediators of historical and
    democratic memory;
  * Memories of Transition processes in History;
  * Memory and discourses;
  * Invisibilized memories in the social history of communication
    (XVI-XX centuries);
  * Memories, cultural and/or discursive representations and political
    practices in History.

The call for papers is open until February 28th.
