*PhD Studentships at Loughborough University London*

Loughborough University London is a part of technē; a consortium which comprises nine universities in London and the South-East, with almost 60 AHRC studentships to award each year across a range of arts and humanities disciplines. technē supports outstanding students pursuing the ‘craft’ of research through innovative, interdisciplinary and creative approaches.

The Institute for Media and Creative Industries (IMCI) invites doctoral research proposals that fit with IMCI’s research themes, that links to one or more of our current research projects, and that aligns with the research of one or more of our academic staff. Our academics cover a range of research interests ranging from populism and the media, gender and media, museums and heritage industries, creative and cultural industries, youth engagement, citizen’s media, social movements, communication and social change, Freirean communication, digital ethnography, AI and everyday life, and disability communication and the global South. Our research takes place in diverse regions, and we are equally interested in applications exploring topics relevant to our East London and UK location and to global and global South perspectives including Middle East, Africa, South Asia, and Latin America.
