[Commlist] New online publication / neues Online-Buch "Transformational POP" Voilume 2 ""~Vibes - The IASPM D-A-CH Series"
Wed Nov 02 12:00:44 GMT 2022
We are very pleased to announce the publication of the second volume of
/~Vibes - The IASPM D-A-CH Series/ edited by Beate Flath, Christoph
Jacke, and Manuel Troike. Under the title "Transformational POP:
Transitions, Breaks, and Crises in Popular Music (Studies)", ten
peer-reviewed contributions as well as six interviews and essays in
English and German language are shedding light on the diverse
transformative moments of popular music cultures – following the 4^th
Biennial Conference of IASPM D-A-CH. The authors take a theoretical,
empirical, historicising, and ultimately politicising look at the fields
of tension, disruptions, and lines of conflict that have emerged and are
emerging, making them not only visible, audible, and tangible, but also
communicable and thus negotiable.
