The University of Warwick seeks to appoint a full-time permanent Associate Professor/Reader in Film and Television Studies from January 2023. As the successful candidate, you will have a strong research profile in film history, ideally with specific expertise in early cinema. You will also have a commitment to working across the School of Creative Arts, Performance and Visual Cultures to support Film and Television Studies in contributing to the delivery of School- and Institution-wide priorities.
The School of Creative Arts, Performance and Visual Cultures
The School of Creative Arts, Performance and Visual Cultures (SCAPVC) brings together Film and Television Studies, the Warwick Writing Programme, Theatre and Performance Studies, Cultural and Media Policy Studies, and History of Art. Our focus is on sustainable practices, social justice, community and collaboration. Our staff and our students understand the shaping powers of the past and are unafraid to shape the future.
