The Centre for Social Sciences (CSS), Hungarian Academy of Sciences 
Centre of Excellence invites interested postdoctoral academics to 
develop a co-application for a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual 
Fellowship, to be hosted by CSS. The deadline for expressing your 
interest is August 31, 2021.

The Centre’s researchers will support applicants in developing proposals 
that address emotional narratives and expressive communication in 
politics. These areas include multimodal analysis of emotional displays, 
political rants and vitriol, citizens’ emotional labour, 
affect-regulative political messages is social media, emotional news 
coverage, degrees of emotional awareness, emotionalization and strategic 
use of emotive expressions, trauma politics, affective journalism.

We are looking for individuals with innovative ideas, a team-oriented 
mindset, and committed to drawing data-driven cross-country comparisons.

Selected applicants will receive scientific and administrative support 
from the Centre throughout the application process.

The successful candidate will work at the Centre’s Institute for 
Political Science, directly collaborating with the Political 
Communication Research Team led by the Principal Investigator Gabriella
