We invite applications from outstanding candidates whose research and teaching experience lie in Film Studies. We are particularly keen to recruit a candidate with an expertise in world cinema, film history and transnational cinema.

The BA Film and Screen Media and Film and BA Digital Production degree incorporate pathways in digital production, screenwriting, and entrepreneurship and professionalism. The person appointed will join the Film and Communications team and contribute to the teaching and learning, and administration of a successful portfolio of degrees. In particular, they will cover the current Programme Director’s teaching while he is on research sabbatical in the second semester of 2021. The applicant would be responsible for contributing lectures on modules drawing on their expertise.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the University’s multidisciplinary Institute of Business, Law and Society soon after its launch. The Institute currently offers programmes including BAs in Business Management, Communications and Marketing, Creative Media, Criminology and Sociology, Film and Screen Media, Film and Digital Production, Law, and Politics and International Relations; as well as innovative postgraduate courses in Sports Journalism, Charity Management, Diplomacy and International Relations, Human Trafficking and Organised Crime, International Business Law and International Business Management.
