CMI (Communication, Media and Information technologies) organizes annual conferences, this year entitled DIGITAL TRANSFORMATIONS – POTENTIALS AND CHALLENGES.

40 papers will be presented at the conference, and the keynote speech will be delivered by Robin Mansell who will introduce her new book on platform economics co-authored with Ed Steinmueller.

Digital transformations – potentials and challenges

13th CMI conference - ONLINE - November 26-27, 2020

Topic

The online conference will be concerned with the potentials and challenges of the increasing use of digital technologies, the resulting digitalization of businesses, organizations and society in general and the resulting societal transformations. The conference will deal with positive potentials as well as problematic implications and challenges.

All suggestions for papers dealing with aspects of the processes of digital transformations are welcome. Two tracks are specified, a broad track on ‘Social and business applications for media, services and industry’ and a more specialized track on ‘Cyber security and privacy’.

Contributions can be either full research papers, position papers or posters.

Contributions within technology development as well as contributions discussing technology developments within social science or humanities frameworks are solicited. Presentations and discussions will take place via video conferencing.

The online conference is free of charge
SUBMISSion

Submissions must be original, unpublished in any of the above-mentioned topics or closely related topics. All types of contributions are welcome whether academic papers, industrial research, case studies, white papers, implementation reviews and so on.

Posters (2 pages extended abstract) are encouraged to provide opportunity to present early stages of work, and demos that otherwise not would be showed at the conference. Papers (4-6 pages) will be peer-reviewed. We have adopted the IEEE publication format. Submissions should be in English, in PDF format with all fonts embedded, formatted using the IEEE conference template, found here: http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html. Selected conference papers will be submitted to IEEE for a possible inclusion into IEEE Xplore database. The submission of abstracts, papers and posters must be done via Easychair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=cmi2020
