[Commlist] The Liverpool Screen School seeks Programme leader in Media Production

The Liverpool Screen School (Liverpool John Moores University) seeks a
highly motivated individual to lead the Media Production department,
which includes the following programmes of study: BA (Hons) Media
Production, MA Documentary, MA Immersive Arts and MA Creative Technology.
This is an exciting time to join the department, as Liverpool, already
the most filmed in city in the UK outside of London, becomes home to
Twickenham Studios, who are set to open a new development of production
facilities and film stages at the iconic Littlewoods Building.

The city also boasts a vibrant culture and LJMU is proud of its many
connections with local media and arts organisations, including Liverpool
Film Office, Lime Pictures, ITV and the BBC The Everyman and Playhouse,
The Unity Theatre, The Royal Court Theatre, The Liverpool Philharmonic
and The Liverpool Tate.
The Liverpool Screen School, part of LJMU's Faculty of Arts,
Professional and Social Studies, offers undergraduate and post graduate
programmes in the departments of: Creative Writing, Drama, Film
Studies, Journalism and Media Production.
The post holder will provide strategic leadership and line management
for the Media Production department and take a leading academic role on
the school management team.
The Screen school is developing its strategic priorities in research,
postgraduate provision internationalisation, public engagement and
enterprise activity. Reporting to the Subject Leader, you will lead
these developments in the Media Production team, whilst also undertaking
teaching, programme management and administrative duties across the
Media Production portfolio (BA (Hons) Media Production, MA Documentary,
MA Immersive Arts and MA Creative Technology).
Current areas of industry practice / research interests in the
department include: Television Drama, Documentary, Interactive Media,
new approaches to narrative, 360 filming, Participatory Culture,
Multiplatform, Creative Technology and Immersive Arts
