Call For Papers – Contratexto (Peru) – Political communication
Deadline: November 15th, 2020
Contratexto is an Open Access refereed academic journal published by the
Faculty of Communication at the University of Lima every six months,
with emphasis on the field of communication and related branches. It
edits articles, research papers, essays and bibliographical reviews in
Spanish, Portuguese and English.
The 35th edition of Contratexto will address the issue of selectivity in
the media use or consumption of political information as a persistently
paradigmatic issue on the study of audiences’ behaviors and attitudes.
Dossier editors: Pamela Paz García (IIPsi CONICET y UNC, Argentina),
María Mendoza Michilot (Universidad de Lima, Perú) and Fábio Pereira
(Universidad de Brasilia, Brasil).
THEMATIC FOCUS
• Ideological consumption routines of political information:
• Familiarity relations with informative sources and contents
• Social networks: cultures of use and consumption, agendas, political
contexts, effects of fake news, post-truth politics.
• Experiences of the contemporary prosumer
• Media-user interaction
In addition to this thematic dossier, we accept submissions in the
general field of communication. The deadline for these is also May 15th,
papers submitted after that date WILL NOT be reviewed for the next
number, instead, they will be queued for subsequent editions.
