I am currently working on an updated and revised edition of the edited book Queer Youth and Media Cultures <https://www.palgrave.com/gp/book/9781137383549>, originally realised in 2014, following a productive symposium <https://www.bournemouth.ac.uk/sites/default/files/asset/document/Symposium-Programme.pdf> last year which focussed on new forms of activism.

While the revised edition will include updated material, framing much of the original work, this call specifically addresses a need for new contributors.

While we are specifically looking for two or three new chapters that *explore:*

**

·queer youth in relation to online App based technology such as smart phones and tablets, potentially exploring dating, romance, community building and/or health education.

·Queer youth as media activists, working across diverse media platforms.

·Any creative new approaches to the subject area of queer youth and media culture

Please send a 200-word abstract, with the title of your proposed contribution, also including a short biography to Christopher Pullen at (cpullen /at/ bournemouth.ac.uk) <mailto:(cpullen /at/ bournemouth.ac.uk)> by February 2^nd , 2020.
