As part of Mount Saint Vincent University’s strategic priority in 
advancing EDIA and supporting Black scholarship and different 
worldviews, the University is seeking to fill four (4) full-time 
probationary / tenure -track academic faculty positions in any 
discipline. This is a targeted search for Black scholars and is open to 
candidates who identify as Black from around the world. MSVU encourages 
applications from all qualified candidates, including women, persons of 
any sexual orientations and gender identities and/or expressions, 
persons with disabilities, and other equity-deserving groups. Candidates 
who identify as being from any of these groups are encouraged to 
voluntarily self-identify in their application materials. All qualified

Canadian citizens and permanent residents.

*Description*
The successful candidates must be eligible for appointment in a relevant 
academic department at MSVU. They will hold or be near completion of a 
PhD or an equivalent terminal degree, or they will have an alternative 
combination of knowledge and experience. Candidates should indicate 
their preferred disciplines and/or academic units or programmes with 
which they are best aligned. We are seeking scholars with a demonstrated 
track record of research and/or community-based achievement, teaching, 
and service activities. Possible areas of scholarship include the 
scholarship of discovery, the scholarship of integration, the 
scholarship of application and/or the scholarship of teaching; 
non-traditional forms of scholarship and traditional ways of knowing 
will be recognized.

Salary and benefits will be commensurate with the qualifications of the 
candidate and in accordance with the MSVU-MSVUFA Collective Agreement 
and subject to final budgetary approval. Workload includes teaching, 
research, and collegial service.

    criteria for the position;
  * An up-to-date curriculum vitae;
  * The names and contact information of three referees;
  * Copies of, or links to, up to three recent research and/or
    professional contributions;
  * A statement of current and future research, professional, and
    teaching interests;
  * A statement of the candidate's Black self-identification.
